Royal Portrush: Will host the British Amateur Championship in 2014


Royal Portrush and Carnoustie have been chosen to host the British Amateur championship in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
Portrush is the only course outside Scotland and England to stage The Open - Max Faulkner won in 1951 - and it was recently announced as the venue for this June's Irish Open.
Carnoustie saw Paul Lawrie win the 1999 Open after Jean Van de Velde triple-bogeyed the final hole, while Padraig Harrington triumphed

Mikhail Youzhny: Edged out Karlovic


There was double disappointment for the home fans at the PBZ Zagreb Indoors on Friday.
Both Ivo Karlovic and Ivan Dodig were beaten in the quarter-finals as Croatian interest in the ATP tournament came to an end.
Third seed Mikhail Youzhny ended the hopes of Karlovic in a tight tussle decided by a final-set tie-break.
The Russian eventually prevailed 7-6 (12/10) 3-6 7-6 (8/6) against the biggest server in the game.
